Blogger Of The Month: Lucia

I can't quite believe it's time for blogger of the month again! These months are going far too fast and i'm a little bit scared that it's already May 2013, in my head I still think it's 2008 (and probably always will be!)

This month i've gone for a slightly different style of blogger, this is Lucia and she writes a blog called 'Who The Fuck Is Mick Jagger'. I'm not ashamed to admit I discovered her through googling pictures of  young Mick Jagger, to basically perv on! Her blog is a mix of outfit posts, music and just imagery that she loves, and whilst she doesn't post very regularly she gives off this really laid back, quite rock n roll (that sounds cringe but it's true) vibe which really interests me.

I don't know if i've said before on my blog but I really love this style which I like to call '70's groupie' people like Anita Pallenberg, Stevie Nicks and more recently Lou Doillon. Women who layer clothes, wear floppy hats and look as though they've spent all day in bed before waking up and throwing anything they could find on. I like a good kimono, floaty sleeve and floppy hat and Lucia makes it all work by throwing 60's and 70's inspired looks together and it just works. I wish there were more photographs I could show you guys of Lucia but these were the most recent outfit posts on her blog and almost leave us desperate for more!

The other interesting thing about her blog is she is honest and real which I really appreciate, she writes posts about how annoyed she is she couldn't get Rolling Stones tickets or how she just wants to lie around drinking cocktails in the summer. She seems like the kind of girl who you could go away with and basically have the time of your life. Does anyone else already follow Lucias blog? If she interests you there is a link at the top of her blog to her tumblr, instagram and twitter :)

Blogger Of The Month: Lucy Jarvis!

It's once again time for my blogger of the month, albeit it a bit late and this month i've chosen Lucy from Fine and Bambi (used to be Champagne Diamond). Lucy is another person I met through Motel and was one of the other bloggers who inspired me to start my own blog. I fell in love with her blog because she shares my love of cats and immediately I wanted to get my hands on one of the cat print skirts from her own big cartel shop! I also loved her grungy style and liked the way she wore Fred Perry polos tucked into girlie skater skirts, dungarees and the way her tattoos toughen up her pretty dresses.

Lucy seems like someone who doesn't follow trends, she knows what she likes and has a massive obsession with Topshop, something else we have in common! Her style is really relaxed and I like how she always posts pictures of her beautiful cat Lana on her blog and instagram. I have ended up buying a few things after seeing them on Lucys' blog, my favourite of which is the Topshop black pinafore, something I fell in love with as soon as I saw her wearing it, and love seeing how Lucy styles it.

Apart from having awesome style Lucy is a really nice girl who i've spoken to through social networking, and she looks SO much like Alexa Chung it is ridiculous!

Let me know if you also love Lucys' blog or if this is a new one for you, I love how this blogger of the month introduces bloggers to new bloggers!

Blogger Of The Month: Kim, Love Cloth!

The past few weeks have gone so fast I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted! I have been working hard at my job, and buying lots of things- I have a haul post planned for the weekend! It's a sad week this week because obviously I was supposed to be going skiing but after I was made redundant could no longer afford it, so have been missing my boyfriend and friends who did get to go
:(

Anyway sad point over, it is a new month which means I get to pick a new blogger of the month, and this month I choose Kim from Love Cloth! I only discovered Kims blog in the past few months and am so glad I did because I absolutely love her style. Kim shares my love of chelsea boots, collars and hats and her style is really simple and laid back, plus she always looks so happy and cheery! I've picked a few of my favourite of her outfits to show you and if you've never seen her blog before I would definitely recommend a look here!

The other thing I love about her blog is that she plays around a lot with her images and often layers her images with illustrations or text, which is something I would love to try. The layout of Love Cloth is also really simple and and minimal which reflects Kims style and her images are really beautiful and often shot is gorgeous locations. A lot of her outfits are sweet feminine dresses which she toughens up with boots, or 60's style items brought up to date with a hat or great pair of new shoes. Kim seems like she has amazing natural style and her outfits always seem really well pulled together - she has her style pinned down!

What do you think of Kims style? Is she a already one of your favourite bloggers, or one you've just discovered?
