Liebster Blog Award

I'm sure most of you have heard of the Liebster Blog Award before and have probably taken part, I was nominated a few months ago and have now been nominated again by 'She and Hem' and 'Robots Eating Roses' which was a really nice surprise! I think it's a great post to let you guys know more about me, mainly because i'm really nosey and like hearing random facts about bloggers I like haha. I also think it's important to support and encourage small bloggers which is exactly what the Liebster does. I've decided not to do the 11 random facts because i've been nominated by two people so have two lots of questions to answer and am not sure i'll be able to think of 11 more facts! Hope you enjoy and hope it's not too much writing for you!

The Rules
1. When you are nominated for the Liebster Award you have to answer 11 questions from the blogger that nominated you. Questions are on their blog.
2. You then choose to pass the award onto and tweet them to let them know you nominated them.
3. Choose 11 new questions for them to answer.
4. Put all this in your blog.

She and Hem Questions
Q. When did you start your blog?
A. I started it in September last year whilst interning for Motel Rocks and was inspired to start one by all the bloggers I was working with.

Q. How do you feel posing for photos for your blog posts?
A. I really don't like it, I feel really embarrassed especially when we take photos on days out! I am starting to get used to it though, thankfully.

Q. If you could have anyone's wardrobe, who would it be and why?
A. I love vintage clothes and I would probably go for my two top fashion ladies Marianne Faithfull or Anita Pallenberg.

Q. How do you find time to work on your blog?
A. I don't work full time which makes it A LOT easier and I have to be quite organised to take photos around my boyfriends job as well as my own. I plan to blog three times a week and might take the photos in the morning then write the post in the evening. I try not to be too hard on myself if I run out of time which I think is important otherwise you could resent your blog.

Q. What has been your favourite ever blog post you've written?
A. Photo wise probably one of the posts when I had blue or pink hair!

Q. Have you ever met anybody famous?
A. I met Michael Jackson in Las Vegas in 2004 Oh yeah it was mega!!

Q. Where is your favourite place to buy dresses?
A. I really like ASOS or Motel Rocks for dresses or for vintage there's lots of places in Bristol like Uncle Sams or Repsycho as well as eBay.

Q. What has been your biggest sale bargain?
A. Probably some really nice Kurt Geiger shoes which were £35 down from £120!

Q. What do your friends think of your blog?
A. Not many of my friends know about my blog but the ones who do are very supportive.

Q. Jelly shoes. Yay or nay?
A. I'm gonna say yay.

Q. What's your top blogging tip?
A. I think to just be yourself, as cheesey as it sounds, but don't try to write, photograph or dress like anyone else your own style is always the best!

Robots Eating Roses Questions (some questions were similar so i've missed them out!)
Q. Have you ever considered taking up what you passionately blog about as a career option?
A. My degree was in Fashion Communication so i've always wanted to work in Social Media so it's probably the other way round for me I got the jobs in the field then started blogging.

Q. What is the one fashion item of 2013 you can't live without?
A. Probably creepers and Dr Marten shoes.

Q. What was one of your favourite fashion items from the 90s?
A. Definitely Buffalos I loved them.. ALOT.

Q. Would you rather be a trend setter or a trend follower?
A. I think everyone should choose to be a trend setter.

Q. Name one of your fashion disasters?
A. When I was 15 you could go in town without getting asked for ID and I have horrible memories of wearing leg warmers, converse and fishnet tights...oh dear!

Q. What is one beauty product that you haven't tried yet, but would like to?
A. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Bioderma and would like to try that.

Q. What beauty product have you been swearing by this year?
A. Not sure if it counts as a beauty product but the Real Techniques brushes have been a life saver for me.

Q. What is one thing you have got out of blogging so far?
A. Definitely confidence and meeting some really nice people.

Q. Who is your blogging inspiration?
A. Lots of lovely ladies have inspired me whilst blogging and at the moment I feel very inspired by Sara Waiste, Coury and Giselle.

Q. If you could branch out into another area of the blogging world, what else would you blog about?
A. Maybe Jewellery, I really love jewellery!

Devil Rides

Recently i've got so into tumblr it's almost become obsessive. I found loads of great people to follow and love having a place where can I can keep all the images that inspire me. When you do a creative course at Uni it's drilled into you to look at the world from the perspective of collecting things and finding inspiration in the most obscure places, but now i've left I haven't got the time to print, cut and stick into a sketchbook; tumblr is perfect.

I am one of those people that collects everything and my desktop makes people feel sick with how cluttered and covered it is! Here I wanted to show you some of my favourite tumblr images from the past few weeks and if you like what you see then here is my page :)

Blogger of the Month: Sara Waiste

Recently i've been dedicating a lot more time to blogging and as a result have found loads of great blogs, and I knew I was going to pick this one straight away as my blogger of the month so here she is...Sara Waiste!

Sara is a UK blogger who blogs at WAISTE and as well as being the most amazing charity shopper i've ever seen, she also runs her own clothing line; a label focused on customised clothing which you can find here.

Her clothes are a mix of vintage, charity shop finds, high street and higher end high street brands such as MinkPink and Evil Twin. Mixing layers, prints and colours, there isn't a boring or safe outfit on her blog, and I love the way she always adds more accessories or layers than most people would; reminding me of one of my own style icons Anita Pallenberg.

A mix of 70's bohemian with 90's grunge I love all of her jewellery and she has made me fall more in love with the kimono than before! Rarely seen in trousers, I like the way Sara doesn't stick to one length and wears mini, midi and maxi dresses all teamed with a floaty cover up or fringed jacket, she is definitely the person you would want to share a tent with at a festival so you can borrow her clothes! In true bohemian style Sara doesn't seem to dress by any fashion rules and I think thats one of my favourite things about her, she doesn't look like anybody else and isn't afraid to experiment with mixing print or layering.

Dress - Glamorous
Necklace - Primark and Silver Scene (Bristol)
Cuff - Vintage
Shoes - Fashion Union

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that the other day I got a bit overexcited about this cut out skater dress from Glamorous. I saw it online and couldn't even sleep thinking about it selling out, so I got up at midnight and bought it (yes I know how crazy that makes me sound!) It took 2 days to be delivered (free delivery) and I received a text to let me know exactly what time it would be delivered, such a good service which made the whole transaction really smooth. As soon as it arrived yesterday I had to put it on, I teamed it with my amber necklace and an old primark favourite, plus this gorgeous vintage stone cuff my boyfriend surprised me with for my birthday.
